Comprehensive Transcriptome Database of Mouse Kidney DCT
This is a comprehensive transcriptome database of Distal Convoluted Tubule (DCT), generated from freshly isolated early DCTs (DCT1). This database provides an interactive platform to explore high-resolution transcriptome profile of the early DCTs (Pvalb-positive) of the mouse kidney.
This database provides sex differences in transcriptome profiles of DCTs isolated from female and male kidneys and time-dependent transcriptional changes in the DCT after furosemide treatment.

Kidney DCT Gene Atlas
Transcriptomic difference of the DCT in Female vs Male
- Mice with Pvalb-Cre-dependent expression of the fluorescent protein were developed and fluorescence-positive DCT (early DCT; DCT1) segments were dissected from the kidneys.
- Microdissected DCTs from female and male kidneys were analyzed by RNA-Seq (~5 tubules per sample; 6-7 mice per sex).
- Differentially expressed genes between female and male (FDR < 0.05) were analyzed.

Time-course transcriptomic changes in the DCT after furosemide treatment
- Mice with Pvalb-Cre-dependent expression of the fluorescent protein were fed with furosemide-containing diet for overnight (12h), 24h, 48h, and 96h (4 females and 4 males per time point).
- Fluorescence-positive early DCT (early DCT; DCT1) segments were dissected from the kidneys and were analyzed by RNA-Seq (~5 tubules per sample).
- Differentially expressed genes over time after furosemide treatment (FDR < 0.05) were analyzed.
